Tom Reed has been a professional business entrepreneur since 1972. He has many years of professional sales development, management and marketing consulting experience. He has developed strong business relationships with many C-level Fortune 1000 and Fortune 500 client companies within the United States, China, Canada, Asia, Mexico, Caribbean and South America retail and wholesale markets. Tom Reed has authored and published three "How-To" financial books: Get a SBA Loan; Value a Business; and Get a Loan. Professional in sales, marketing and business-to-business presentation programs with corporate executives. He obtained a BBA Degree in Marketing and Finance from North Texas State University. Mr. Reed has also assisted in the marketing in the United States and Mexico of a "Tibetan Goji Berry Power Drink and Power Bar" for the actor and music artist Steven Seagal.
Tom Reed's first business was a successful chain of retail electronic and music stores, in Wichita Falls, TX. After owning these profitable stores for many years, he sold them and established a Shiner Beer Distribution company which he successfully ran and then sold before moving to Dallas, Texas. There, Mr. Reed started a specialty wearable fashion designer T-shirt company with products sold within a five state territory to all channels of distribution, wholesale, retail and mass merchandisers.
With a partner, Mr. Reed opened a financial investment firm as an independent consultant retained by corporations, individuals and law firms to develop or analyze their business sales, marketing and financial plans. He also structured and wrote Private Placement Regulation D documents for entrepreneurs to raise investment money through private investor and broker/dealer market makers. As a financial advisor for the Thompson brothers of Southland Corporation, he was involved in the sell-off of the 7-11 stores. He has taken two companies public, been involved in several oil & gas acquisitions and a computer furniture merger. Mr. Reed was also involved in establishing the first wireless 802.11b neighborhood network and builder interest service in the DFW marketplace before selling his venture capital firm to his partner.
Mr. Reed has been involved with a leading International provider of professional services for the development of industrial automation software services and information systems for production management. He also provides SCADA, HMI, PLC, DCS, RTU, consulting sales and services to oil & gas companies, petrochemical facilities, governmental, city municipalities, manufacturing and environmental firms in the United States and some International countries.
